Flowers for another woman... What is he thinking?

I am having an issue with my husband... like a serious one! I read a text in his phone from a girl who works at one of the clubs that he frequents on the weekends... She said "loved the roses you gave me last night... wish you would have given me a good night kiss before you left!" The text was from Sunday morning at like 3:45 a.m. which means she was talking about Valentine's Day!! What in the heck? He gave someone flowers on Valentine's Day and didn't even come up to see me at work that night! He says that he found the roses outside of a different club and had a bet with one of his friends that whoever gave them to the fattest girl didn't have to pay the tab but I don't think I am buying that excuse... What would you do in this situation?

Guilty as Charged.. Savage Beast Lover

My American Bulldog, pictured above as a puppy, got out of our fence the other day. He went running up to a woman and her husband who were doing yardwork and proceeded to show them his affection in the form of many licks and tail wagging. They put him in their home and then called the Animal Control for our city. So as my husband and I are frantically searching for our dog everywhere, who turned a year old today, he was being booked in the doggy pen. We couldn't find him because he was inside someone's house!!! When DJ and I exhausted everywhere we thought he could be we rested into a fitful sleep of nightmares and worries of poor little Myson being stuck outside in the freezing cold and lost. We hoped he would find his way home in the next day or two and being the weekend I had to work every night and my husband was out bar hopping. Not exactly what I pictured a saddened father with a lost baby would be doing either but to each his own.
Finally today I headed to the animal shelter in hopes that someone had called saying they had a lonely, lost dog at their house. I walked into the shelter and the woman told me I could look around while she checked their call logs. As I walk into the back, with dogs frantically barking at me, I see one who is sitting there not barking like the others but with the saddest puppy eyes I have ever seen. Of course it is my dog and as if in a movie I fall to my knees in front of his cage and try to pet him throuh the bars. I stand up and march out to the lobby right up to the woman and say "My dog is here.. I want him back right now. Today is his birthday and he looks miserable." After being issued tickets and paying puppy bond I hear birds chirping and music playing as my dog is led out to me.
As Myson and I drive home with his head hanging out the window and his ears blowing back all I can think about is how worth every penny I just spent to get him out of that shelter and back home with us was. Yet I have to think about all those sweet animals who don't have someone to take them home. How sad it would be to know that nobody out there is missing you! So I have to ask everyone:
Would you adopt a dog from a shelter instead of going and finding a puppy?

Married after 6 weeks... WOAH!!!

My name is Krystina. I have decided to start blogging so that I can look back on the way I was and the things that I went through. I married my husband Donnie, D.J. as I call him, on January 28, 2005. We dated for 6 weeks before he took me to the courthouse and told me we were getting married. A little crazy to some, romantic to others and stupid to most. The reason he wanted to get married so soon? He plays professional baseball and was leaving for Spring training with the St. Louis Cardinals that March. He would be gone from then until October and he was afraid that a girl like me wouldn't wait around for some guy and he was right! When he went out to San Diego to pitch with Tom House and Nolan Ryan in January of 2005 he said that he was sick to his stomach because he missed me so much and that he wanted to marry me. The next day we ate at Red Robin and when we were leaving he asked me if I wanted to go get married. Of course I said yes so we went to the courthouse and were married that day! It has been a rocky road but mainly it has been worth it.

To Know or Not to know.. the sex of your unborn baby

This was me at 8 months pregnant... Woah!!! I felt huge! What a crazy experience.. We chose not to find out what we were having until our baby was born. All of my friends were constantly trying to get the info on what sex the baby was going to be. At my dr.'s appointments and 3d ultrasounds my girlfriend, Danielle, even tried bribing the Dr., the nurses, the ultrasound tech. She even offered the receptionist money to find out!!! That was too funny:) My dr. loved my appointments though because I always had tons of girls with me... and beautiful girls at that.. The baby was due on Aug. 25... my birthday!! I was so mad about the thought of sharing my birthday with my own child but I couldn't wait to find out if it would be a boy or a girl. I had a poll going with friends and family. Some people looked at the way I was carrying and others tried old tricks the baby's heartbeat, dimple in the chin, how a necklace spun around over my belly, etc.. The only way everyone was finding out was when this kid was born though!!
